Preparation and what to expect
The installation is normally completed within 1-2 weeks and depend on the size and complexity of the project. Prior to the installation we ask you to prepare your kitchen by removing items from your current units and clearing the surfaces for removal of the existing kitchen. Please advise the installer prior to removal of the kitchen, if there is anything you wish to keep, so it can be put in a safe place. All kitchen installers are requested not to use any of your appliances or facilities unless invited by you, so please decide if this is acceptable to you. During your installation there will be instances where your services (Gas/Water/Electrics) will be unavailable, although this will be kept to minimum please make alternative arrangements for cooking etc. if required. It may be useful to have some bottled water and a take-away menu ready for use during a kitchen installation! At the end of the installation, the installer will ask you to inspect your kitchen and will show you how any new appliances work. They will leave all instruction manuals for you.
Managing the unplanned
Your kitchen is unique to you and is also treated as a unique, individual project by us. Whilst it is normally anticipated that your kitchen installation will take between 1 – 2 weeks, there can be times when this is extended due to the complexity of the project and the number of components and services to be connected. Some issues only come to light once the kitchen has been removed and could not have been identified prior to the start of the installation, or at the pre-fit survey. In these instances we will work with you to manage the situation and minimise any possible inconvenience.
